  1. This would be just before she married Cary Grant.

    1. Shocked as well. I feel like I've seen her try to sing but didn't realize she actually could.

    2. I was totally caught off-guard by this one. Who knew?

  3. Just wow. Nearly the belt of Barbara Harris channeled through the beauty of a young Diane Lane. I assumed this would be total camp, but it was totally legitimate. I wonder why she didn't do more musical theatre? But she'll always be the Sue Mengers stand-in in the ultra-camp "The Last of Sheila," maybe the best whodunnit puzzle movie EVER...

  4. So slender! And with such short hair! She really did do a nice job here. I knew she once presented one of the Best Song nominees at the Oscars, but ran into notable mic troubles during it. Glad to get to hear her doing her thing.

  5. As impossible as I know it would be, when Miss Dyan "Boom Boom" Cannon began singing "It's raining, it's pouring...," I found myself hoping she was about to launch into that Streisand/Summer disco collaboration, "Enough is Enough." A man can dream. By the way, didn't she sing on some Oscar telecast? Thanks, Thom - gems as always!
