A Double Redundant Disco Break!

There is so much to love about each of these Boney M clips! In the second, there appears to be some sort of fracas involving the cameramen (starting at about 1:54) which gets ugly at 2:31. Disco drama!

  2. What the hell was that with the cameraman dust-up? Some coked up producer run amok?

  3. The thing about Boney M videos - and maybe about most disco-era ones, for that matter - is that what's going on on stage seems so tangentially related to the actual music. The lead vocal more or less tries to keep up, but the rest are just trucking around for the hell of it. It may not be quite as awkward as the terrible fadeouts that end most lip-synched variety show appearances (that awkward moment when Susan Anton just kind of stands there and smiles, because her song doesn't really end, but Mike Douglas is still walking over), but it's close...
