And Now...Miss Vanda King!

Any gal who sings a song called 13 Men and Me is okay by us!

  1. These days she runs a piano-accessories online store. One that some people say is more than a little shady. And she claims to be pals with Suzanne Somers, for whatever that's worth...

  2. I'm thinking that poor
Vanda had only 11 of those men to herself.
I mean, two of them clearly had to be doing her hair....by which I mean "each other"...right?

  3. Who isn't friends with (whats left of) Suzanne Somers though?

  4. While those visuals are, ahem, unique, I needed to wash my ears with Ann-Margret's original version. In fact, I suspect Ms. King imagined herself to be Ann-Margret as she was singing this treat.

    2. Believe it or not, possums, but the fabulous and eternal Miss Ann-Margret was NOT the first one out of the gate with this ditty.

    3. It always seemed so perfect for A-M that I never thought to research it more deeply.

  5. Miss Shore wasn't the first one to swing with it, either! The first person to record it was this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOSGEEswmqQ ;-)

    1. From a female perspective, it's a song that veers closely to empowerment. From a male perspective, rape fantasy-level creepy.

  6. Empire waistline + miniskirt + thick thighs = one big fashion no-no. Seriously, was she pregnant when this was filmed ?
