Love the background music (which I swear was also used in an old Rock Hudson-Jame Wyman weepie!)
The background music is Chopin. In fact, it's the Chopin tune Serge Gainsbourg borrowed for Lemon Incest!
You are both completely correct! The music did indeed appear in the Douglas Sirk flick Magnificent Obsession. And of course Gainsbourg used it, too, in his own special way.
i never wore mine on my fingers and yet it still managed to convey my deepest emotions.
TRVH once again is a learning tool; I never made the leap from "Lemon Incest" to Chopin. But now, a true story: in the 1970s, I owned an authentic Moroccan caftan — thanks, Mom! — and a fake mood ring (set to black, permanently). I wore them both at the same time. My world was perfectly glamorous.
