Classic Cher

But wait, there's more!

Frankly, we'll take a Bob Mackie gown over cheap animation any day. But that's just us!

  2. Hearing "Dark Lady" always reminds me that "That's the night that the lights went out in Georgia" was written for Cher to perform...

    1. I was thinking the same thing!

Suddenly I'm envisioning a Broadway musical featuring "Dark Lady", "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves", "Dark Lady", "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia", "Angie Baby", "Delta Dawn", and "Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)". It would be called THE STORY OF MY LIFE.

    2. You should include Tom Jones' "Delilah." Actually, there's quite a few tunes about people offing their cheating lovers.

    3. Tell me there'll be a way to work "Fancy" in there somewhere...

  3. What a trip to see that cartoon - now I know why images like this flip through my mind when I hear the song - I doubt I've seen the original since it aired all those years ago. That dance!

    1. Seriously! The moment I saw this I remembered having seen it when it originally aired, but I'd forgotten all about it.

  4. I DO miss a good veil. I'll never understand why they're no longer in style.

    1. Apparently there's no place for mystery and romance in today's world. Pity.
