Anyone would think Mr Allen was a homosexual, or something... Jx
Of course, Peter got the Ann Miller number. It's quite a feat when you make your safety gays look butch.
Oh my, Bitchy,Bitchy, isn't the Convalescent home putting enough Prozac in the Pancakes?. Who doesn't love Ms.Peters in pink bling.
Bernadette looks fantastic as usual but there's way too much "Pepto-Bismol-pink" in this number, it's almost as bad as those Welk show numbers that were color-scheme disasters.
Bernadette Peters' dress reminded me of the dresses Better Midler and Cher wore in their "Cher" show duets. I said to myself, "I bet it's a Bob Mackie dress, too." I checked. It is. I want my "Gays' House of Gay" card now.
Oh boy! This is so much the way to do it.
Old-school kicks! You don't see this sort of endless extravaganza anymore. Unless you live in my head.
Or mine. Jx
There was a moment when I feared little Bernadette was going to get trampled by showgirls, but she got her fixings and negotiated her way through the crowd to her audience like a puppy heading through the rush-hour. Sweet but nerve-wracking!
*Squee!* I'm on an ongoing obsessive hunt for footage of Peter's tour with the Rockettes, and this was 10x better!
Yay! Speaking of, your comment on this earlier post still cracks me up!
Peter really was Dan Dailey, Donald O'Connor and Johnny Ray all in one gay package! And no doubt a little Ethel Merman off stage.BrianB
