Raffaella!

  1. Even by 80's Italian variety show extravaganza standards, that number is a conceptual mess (The best part was definitely the dance belts.) Italy needed a Bob Mackie along with some decent choreographers like Ernie Flatt.

Come to think of it, throw in Cher. Or at the very least, Heather Parisi!

    1. A few cake pans in the Saran Wrap sequence would have been stunningly dramatic.

  2. On the contrary, I would pay very good money to have been in the audience for this! Fantastico, indeed - adoro Raffaella Carra! Jx

  3. Raffaella is a Redundant Goddess, that much is certain. That many of her production numbers tend to spiral out of control is part of why we love her so!

  7. I'm guessing the costume design is by Luca Sabatelli. He helps put the crazy in crazy Italian variety performances.

Too bad Klaus never covered it....

(must be the outfits; or the sweet green icing!)
