God bless her.Thank goodness she didn't dislocated her hair, though.
Her safety gays just did some poppers.
How old was she here? I can't help but compare this to the Gloria Swanson post from a few days ago.
I was gonna say "old enough to know better", but apparently that is not the case!
Oh. Oh, dear. Still, from what I've read, it's probably better than her Mame.RKO does feel very far away, though, doesn't it?
Well, she could still sing, and isn't that what we all remember her for? I was just happy to see the mustachioed safety gay, who was exactly what I was trawling for as a young gay lass.
That accent! Did she just come from a months-long engagement at a casino in Alabama?
I know, right? At first I thought she was Dale Evans!
Yet another 70's porn soundtrack ruined by a vocal!BrianB
That dancer to the right of her with the moustache is a JOY. The choreography kinda works in a hippy jester sort of way, but he nails every moment of it. Sharp as glass and capturing every nuance, every moment of humour. Watch it again and keep your eye on him. He is a choreographer's dream come true. On the beat like a human metronome, and with the steps engineered by him to work perfectly, even when they're a little awkwardly constructed. Watch his face too. He shines. Bravo, bravo, bravo!
Oh, he completely makes this number what it is! Perhaps he was the choreographer, as well.
PS.I saw GR in Mame at Drury Lane. Not good. But she works this number well, backed up by her groovy guys!
This song became a hit (why, I'll never know) in '75, so GR was a 40+ year show-biz veteran at this point in time. I'm amazed at her still-slim figure. Even if she had a girdle on, she's slim and trim in places where no girdle can slim and trim. She and Ann Miller probably went to the same hair-helmet stylist. Why no close-ups? If I'm ever sexually attracted to a woman, all I need to do is watch the first 60 seconds of this and it'll make me gay again.
