  1. Oh good grief. Could Doris have sounded (or looked) worse? I suppose with such a dire singing partner it was inevitable, really. Jx

  2. I'm guessing she was like, what, 51 or so here?
    And look at that figure!
    (Doris, I mean...not John)

  6. Does everyone not recognize this for the piece of pop perfection that it is? We can pray to the variety hour gods that made such mashups possible. And Doris looks beyond faboo....

    1. I love unlikely combos and endless medleys! Those are two of the pillars of the Redundant Variety Hour! Others include divas, sequins, and safety gays.

    2. And with Ann-Margret and Joey Heatherton you almost always get the triple threat...

  7. God that was exhausting, it made me too happy. They definitely took their vitamin C that day. John and Doris pose a serious triple threat what with their acting and singing and dancing. It's a shame that his life was cut short but he lives on every time some camp counselor leads a round of "Sunshine on my Shoulders".

  8. kabuki cannot watch this. John Denver and Old DOris Day (tone dear y'know) are two of the many thing kabuki is allergic to. Might as well have Meredith Baxter Birney nude and rapping. EEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!

  9. It's worth it just to hear Doris sing "makes me high"...

  10. When did sunshine become the color of urine? As much as I love both, just not in a Doris Day song!
