The first one was from 1967, when was this done, Thom? Looks more 70's to me....with that Joanne Worley kind-a pony do thingy! haha!
I think this one is actually from 1963. Just before women started burning their bras!
Ah, this is the version I know as Andy's hit version of this. To me, it sounds like a Herb Alpert / Andy Williams executive summit. (And in stereo, on headphones, it's a jam!)
Your description is exactly right!
Love this version, classic pop not trying to be any more than it is, which is slamming. The other one is nice but it's a "number" and there's nothing wrong with that. This one is all his voice and that arrangement and sometimes that's all you need. Wasn't he and his brothers discovered by Kay Thompson? No wonder he sounds so good.BrianB
Yes, they were Miss Thompson's boys for a while. I like the multi-tracked vocals here.
Of course you know that I have been singing this for the last three or four days in the kitchen (along with that little jig I do)....Have you been over to my place to witness "Mouth and MacNeal", yet? I tortured the help & the customers with that song for about five days...As Always,Just wanting you to share in my pain, wallyxoxox
"The uploader has not yet made this video available in your country." So this boy can't "watch the girls while the girls watch the boys who watch the girls go by". "Eye to eye" or otherwise... Jx
Aww...Well, let it suffice to say that there are shiny mini-dresses and plenty of wiggery.
I would expect nothing less. Jx
