"You're dying to touch me, aren't you?"
imagine if she'd lived, her and joan rivers, what a match that'd been.
The very idea simply boggles the mind!
Her dress be cute. Ed Sullivan looked a little creepy. That blonde bitch was totally wearing a wig. These are my most insipid comments to date.
And yet they are completely factual, and cannot be overstated.
There's really no one like her today. I miss that self-deprecating but ultimately positive comedy style.
Great humour and voice - a little Kaye Ballard and perhaps an inspiration for Divine and Bette Midler
Topher, I was thinking the same thing. I watched this clip and kept thinking of Francine Fishpaw.
It's hard not to!
You had to sit through Sergio Franchi, members of the Bolshoi Ballet, a few plate spinners and seal trainers and Topo Gigio in order to get to the good stuff like Totie when you watched Ed Sullivan! And suddenly the world was madcap and hilarious!BrianB
Makes me think of when Joan Rivers would do the Sullivan show. She was still recognizably human, and sharp as a tack.
