Faboo,indeed.They both went on to do many great jazz albums. Her's are some of my favorites.

It is a crying shame she didn't sing "The Boy From..." as is implied in the title of your blog. Still, I am not sure Mr Sondheim would have been entirely happy with her diction... JxPS I have always adored "The Girl From Ipanema", even Astrud's disco version (which I have in my collection, of course)!
Oh my, thanks for catching me Jon! Whenever I hear this song I can't help thinking of the early-eighties Antena version, "The Boy From Ipanema" (on the fabulous Les Disques du Crepuscule label), which is a personal favorite. I didn't even notice my slip-up!
THIS is the song that is playing in my head when Bert Convy and I are running along the beah at sunset, laughing and giggling like two school girls about to get down on the beach and do the nasty! FABOO!
