  2. It is a crying shame she didn't sing "The Boy From..." as is implied in the title of your blog. Still, I am not sure Mr Sondheim would have been entirely happy with her diction... Jx

    PS I have always adored "The Girl From Ipanema", even Astrud's disco version (which I have in my collection, of course)!

    1. Oh my, thanks for catching me Jon! Whenever I hear this song I can't help thinking of the early-eighties Antena version, "The Boy From Ipanema" (on the fabulous Les Disques du Crepuscule label), which is a personal favorite. I didn't even notice my slip-up!
