A Dramatic Reading by Joan Crawford

Followed by a Bufferin commercial starring Joan Fontaine. Seriously.

  3. I got as far as the words "tiny" and "children" and cut straight to the headache tablets commercial. Funny that. Now I am reaching for my cream deodorant... Jx

  5. I'm guessing that all the Hollywood Children (the Fonda's, the Minelli/Luft clan, the Bergen's including lil Christina and the twins) were tied up at Joan's house, watching intently and peeing in their jammies! I was expecting to have Lucille Ball come out with her whip and showgirls and "do a number" though. That would've been a nice segue into Miss Fontaine's faster drug routine. I do wonder if she was speaking about Olivia though?

    1. She WAS talking about Olivia...start listening @ 7:00. When she says "..take Bufferin, I do" she wants to continue by saying "I HAVE to take Bufferin, if you had to put with that sister of mine, you'd take it too. And what I think of Olivia, well, that goes DOUBLE for that mother of ours. So for the days when you have both sisters and mothers to deal with, there's extra-extra-extra strength valium ..I mean, Bufferin."

  6. This was very instructional. I now know that muted trumpets are the proper musical soundtrack to the phase, "barren places".
