    1. It is sad, because she really had it going on!

  5. Heaven is a Bobbie Gentry/Glen Campbell duet! Any of those lying around?

    1. James, you are so eclectic! I know they recorded together but could find no footage of them performing. But I shan't give up!

(True confession: as a youth, I had a bit of a crush on Mr. Campbell. Not so much anymore, though!)

  6. I had to put aside his autobiography after, like, the 15th golfing anecdote. But he could work a song! The best duet with Bobbie is 'Morning Glory' - basically an ode to a hard-on. The combination of Glen's sensitive meathead schtick and Bobbie's pilled-out serenity really works.

    1. Okay, you may not believe this: I am presently at my parents' place, and what should I hear but a moment ago? Glen and Bobbie singing "Scarborough Fair"!! For a moment my brain froze.

    2. My brain would freeze if I listened to a radio station that played that... Jx

    3. The thing is, it wasn't on the radio! My dad has thousands of record albums and cds---that's undoubtedly where I get a large part of my insanity---and this was coming from his cd player!

    4. How bizarre! Let's all hold hands and contact the living.
